The home of the best beer on Earth, moules and frites, and an inconsistent footy team, Belgium is also a destination that is revered among carp anglers.
Where France has its mega lakes like Lac du Der and Cassien, Belgium has countless miles of canal where carp roam freely and under the radar. Fishing there is the antithesis of pressured day ticket fishing and among many carp anglers who have a wanderlust, it's becoming a target for their attention because of the solitude and unknown carp that are on the cards.
Team Wychwood angler, Bradley Emmett, and Wychwood media coordinator Rob Gibson, headed over there last Autumn to chase that exact dream - to catch carp that may never have seen a hook before. The resulting film is just the first part of their journey, not only showing how resetting from traditional UK fishing can give you a fresh perspective, but how working hard can bring incredible result.
